COSTS
Estimations
are supplied on a per project basis. They typically include project management,
client contact, design, production preparation and vendor bidding (if requested
or required). Prices are based on a standard approval process (composing of
approximately two rounds of revisions). Additional charges may be incurred by accessive
approvals.
ARTWORK
COPYRIGHT
Positive Image has exclusive rights to use of artwork unless otherwise agreed
upon in writing.
APPROVAL
POLICY
Because errors can occur at any stage, clients are encouraged to view each set
of proofs they receive with the utmost care. When a client is supplied with
written approval forms, they are encouraged to sign and return them. If they are
not returned, Positive Image will assume artwork is approved. In
cases where Positive Image takes artwork to final production, the client is
given the opportunity to sign off of the printer/vendor’s last proof. If the
client relinquishes the right to view this proof and Positive Image is given
sole approval, Positive Image cannot be held responsible for any errors that may
occur. In cases where Positive Image does not take artwork to final production
and instead releases artwork directly to the client for production, Positive
Image does not assume responsibility for any errors that may occur after release
of artwork.
ARTWORK
Positive Image attempts to ensure that all artwork is prepared correctly and to
printer/production specifications. Due to the nature of electronic graphics,
however, additional charges are sometimes incurred to alter artwork. Positive
Image does not assume responsibility for any additional charges that may incur
with artwork production.
PROJECT
BID POLICY
It is typical to have projects bid to one or more vendors (depending upon job
specifications). The lowest bid to a quality vendor will be supplied to the
client. Clients are not obligated to use this recommended vendor and are welcome
to obtain their own quotes/estimations from a vendor of their choice. They are
free to assume responsibility for the artwork and produce jobs on their own.
RUSH
ORDERS
Positive Image will make every attempt to accommodate quick turn around times.
As mistakes may occur, it is strongly recommended that sufficient time is
allotted for projects.
PAYMENT
TERMS
All jobs require a deposit of 50% or more, depending on the job description. Net
30 days. Overdue payments shall be subject to interest charges of 1.5% monthly.
18% annually.
CANCELLATION
CHARGES
Once a design has begun, charges have been incurred and will be billed
accordingly for “cancelled” jobs. If a brochure has completed production and
is ready to be handed over to a printer, that charge can be as high as 100%.
LIMITED
LIABILITY
Positive Image works with reliable vendors. In the event, however, that a vendor
does not follow through on work agreed to (such as in delivery schedules or work
quality), Positive Image cannot be held liable for their actions. We serve only
as a facilitator and are not responsible for the actions of vendors.
